TONY BRADFORD

     Tony Bradford, a New York City based choreographer/master teacher has emerged as a new breed with roots in the old school. As a performer he has appeared in such diverse venues as Classical Ballet, Nightclubs and Broadway musicals. Tony has danced throughout the United States as well as Puerto Rico, Australia, England, Germany and Romania. He has the good fortune of having been trained by such illustrious teachers as Madam Gabriella Darvash, Charles Kelley, Karin Baker, Christopher Chadman, Buzz Miller and Gemze DeLappe. A longtime protégé of Judy Ann Bassing’s, Tony is proud to be a “Bassing Boy”. Several of his teachers were trained by, and worked directly with, Jack Cole and it is in the Cole style and technique that Tony has found his voice.His college studies in Anatomy, Kinesiology and physics led him to design a teaching method based on cross training and Body Mechanics. Tony believes an understanding of how the body functions in movement accellerates the dancers progress.  

 

One of the most sought after Master Teachers in the country Tony is versed in all forms and techniques of Dance as well as Acrobatics. He has taught for all major Dance Organizations as well as being regular guest faculty at many Dance Schools in the Northeast. Tony conducts his own NYC Dance Intensive covering a broad array of technique, style and the skills needed to audition successfully. His most recent Intensive featured a performance that included dancers from 5 studios representing 3 different states 

Tony is now on staff at the Dance Center at 244 Rehearsal Studios. Take his Theater Dance class Mondays from 7:15-8:30pm. Also take his Theater Dance Intensives starting 10/6 on Sundays from 2-5pm.
